Jeez, it IS an early spring out there! It used to be that you were lucky to see daffodils by Easter. I don’t suppose the mosquitoes have started making an appearance yet? (The peepers love those.) That’s all they talk about here: mosquitoes in March. Normally we don’t see them until late June.
We had two dandelions that bloomed ALL winter. I haven’t seen a mosquito yet…I’ll bet tomorrow I will!
All of my bulbs have sprouted and I swear the leaves have grown six inches in the last two days.
Hyacinths are blooming.
I REFUSED to mow my grass in February even though it sorely needed it and the houses on both sides had mowed lawns. But, damn it, February? No Way! (So it was mowed the first week in March …).
I don’t blame you! No one in their right mind would mow their grass in February!
Who knows what will happen a few years down the road? Skinny dipping in December?//
We hear frogs by the beach – there’s a stream that runs past the path leading to the sand. But these don’t sound small – they sound deep and rotund and ready to steal Boyfriend’s surfboard!

wow – you’re way ahead of us, which doesn’t even make sense!
I definitely need to change my banner! 😉
yep!
btw, what are “spring peepers”?
They are little tree and pond frogs that sound just glorious!
thanks for explaining – I *knew* I was missing some vital information. : )
Spring peepers here too a month early and no mosquitoes but certainly black flies.
Nature isn’t it wonderful?
It is, Mar! I love it!

that’s a scary thought, as it means that the oceans will have risen and…
Ours haven’t started yet. Our critters and flora are all cornfuzzled with it supposed to be snowing but we’re breaking record high temps 😦
Poooh!
How sweet! Will there be pictures?
I will even try to get some video! Nothing like spring peepers!
Yes! A Video! No Peepers here 😦 They have them at Ross’ work though so I may need to take a trip out there.

We’ve had a blast this week in the (hopefully) temporary freak heat wave. I hope you get crane pics too!
