Hi, dear Peeps!

I have enjoyed everyone’s posts. Thank you for posting while I was lacking the motivation to do so! ❤

Two weeks after my horrible cold went away, it came back! Luckily it was while I had two days off in a row, so I spent those two whole days on the couch. It was AWFUL.

I survived, but still sniffing. (and still whining, apparently) 😀

Except for the cold, it’s been a good month and a half. Ken and I went on a five day cruise, stopping at Cozumel for great snorkeling and Key West for a three hour bike trip in a mini-hurricane. Lol. It was fun….the temperature was 75 F. and we had raincoats, but we still ended up soaked to the bone!

Since then it’s just been work and taking care of Cammie. I’m so glad that his mom and dad are so generous with him. He gets to spend the night every week or two!

He’s coming Friday for the night.

And, we had our second snow of the year! It’s been so mild this year! Going down to single digits tonight and tomorrow. But, it’s winter! 🙂

I think that’s all the news that’s fit to print, for now!

  1. Ooh, be careful. So many people where I live have been seriously ill because of this virus. One has pneumonia, others just never get better, mostly because they can’t take time off from work to rest. Then they spread it to everyone else at work, and they spread it to their families…I’m looking forward to warmer, dryer weather here. There were some days where your area was warmer than mine. What a weird winter.

You and Ken look cute! And Cammie looks a lot like your son, now that he’s got hair. 🙂 Grandmas have the right to post grandkid pictures and to show them off at every possible moment!

It has been a weird winter! It will warm back up by next week. I’m enjoying the snow, rather than just mud and rain.

So many people fighting sinus infections here. I feel like I just need an IV of Benedryl.

Does “MILE 0” mean you reached the tip of the country?

  3. Laurie says:

Don’t you look happy and relaxed in the bike trip photo!

Key West sounds fabulous this time of year. (Even in a mini hurricane.)

    YAY! for grandma/baby time.

    • Lauri says:

It was very fun! The natives could not believe the weather. I guess they mostly have an hour of rain, and then the sun comes back out. This was an entire 24 hours of squalls.

Good to see you! Key West sounded like fun!

  6. A cruise! Sounds fun! I hope you are feeling much better now

Crazy weather across the globe. Glad you got some time to enjoy a getaway! We swam at Coast Guard Beach once just before a hurricane blew in, it was actually loads of fun. Big waves!

  8. Yeooow. That cold won’t let go of you!!! ((((((hugs)))))) I hope you’re all better now. Cammie blowing bubbles is beyond adorable! Hooray for your trip! Gorgeous pix. You look so happy, too. We got your single digits after you were done with them — eeek! Then we were in the 50’s yesterday with crazy winds. Now it’s 22 again. Odd winter, yes.

  9. Wait. Didn’t you have a birthday? Well, if you did: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!! ::tosses Reeses::

If you didn’t you can still keep the Reeses. You’ll have one eventually.

  10. Jaypo says:

You know being with his grammie makes him happy! I’m forever blowing bubbles.
It must be a huge relief that you take part of the winters off to travel to warmer places and just relax. I would like to do that someday too. Who takes care of the nanimals when you travel?

    • Lauri says:

Ken has a boarding kennel attached to his veterinary clinic. The girls that work for him spoil our dogs and cats. It still makes it hard to go away for more than a few days, so we don’t!

Love the biking photograph – you both look so happy and VICTORIOUS. And if you’re waiting for winter to end (I won’t count myself in that number) rest assured that the vernal equinox will be here in a few weeks.

    • Lauri says:

We’ve had two big snowstorms in a week, now, so I’m ready for spring! 😀
It should be around 60 degrees next week….that will do!

  12. Aussie Emjay says:

Oh – absolutely love that biking photo! Can’t believe you’re 60!
