It has been so cold this spring that I thought Blorp, the frog, would like a swimming pool in the middle of my fishpond. The water can warm up faster in there. Looks like it worked!
It’s still super cold today and I want to wash my window screens, so I am going to put them in the shower!
Aaaah, he’s awesome (and so are you for getting him a hot tub!) 😀
Lol! This was taken yesterday when the sun was out. Today is cold and gloomy and I think Blorp is sleeping somewhere until it warms up!
You can wash screens? Interesting.
Well, I just rinse them with a cleaner with dishsoap, white vinegar, lemon oil…..I forget what else and then use the hose to spray them off. I decided to wait until it gets warmer outside. Washing them inside wouldn’t work as well as blasting them with the hose and it would waste softened water.
But why? (I’m with M—l on this concept)
Because they get all dusty and gross sitting in the windows all winter. It’s sort of a rite of spring, which I only do when they get dusty enough that I notice it, therefore, not every year.
We wash our screens too–they get all full of pollen and cat hair (from leaving windows open).
mine also get grit in them due to neighbors who rely on not-so-clean woodburning stoves in the winter, plus what you and jaypo said. the pollen in my screens is awful this year.
I cleaned two of my screens. Thanks for the inspiration…the room is so much brighter after removing 12 years of dirt!
Hooray! I forgot to do mine……thanks for reminding me!
It’s been “cold” here – around 60 – and rainy for the last 2 days. Luckily all the real nastiness stayed south of here. But if you just really want to wash screens, it IS warm enough here for that!
Blorp needs his own page….lol. Love it.
He looks HUGE!
He would fit nicely on my hand, so not all that big.
aw!
Ah Lauri. I just couldn’t resist showing you, I figured you’d appreciate this.
Bahahaha. Second owlet is all “What the heck??” I hadn’t seen this one!
