Lost and Found!!!

Aaron’s kitten, Jazzy, disappeared three weeks ago. She loved going outside at night and when she wanted in she would come up to an open window and meow for us to take the screen out so she could come in.

She just didn’t turn up one morning and after a week, and especially after two, we figured something bad had happened.

This morning at 3 am she was at Aaron’s window meowing to be let in!!! Three weeks later!

She has lost a lot of weight….so either she was shut in someone’s garage…but she had to have water and at least mice to catch or she wouldn’t have survived…so I think something spooked her into the 800 acres across the road and she really was lost for a time.

No matter. I’m just glad she’s home.

[this is good] Oh, I know the fear and the joy of that too well! I’d give her gushy fud myself if I could.

I woke up just before dawn (!@#$%) and went to the kitchen for a snack. TK was looking out the window and I saw Snowshoe Siamese. I couldn’t take a picture b/c it was still too dark.

You always wonder what happened to the ones who don’t make it home. Glad to see Jazzy made it back. If only they could talk and tell the tales of where they’ve been and what transpired…

Yay! yay! I love stories like this. What a pretty tabby kitty Jazzy is. I heard a story of a cat who was lost, but had a microchip. **4 years later**, the cat was found, yes, trapped in the walls of someone’s garage, almost an entire state away. The microchip led the kitty back to her overjoyed owner.

That’s the best story ever, lauri! Like TK’s MooDaddy who kept disappearing and showing up… maybe he will show up some day!

Jazzy is one lucky kittn and so is her papa Aaron.

It’s a miracle! Speaking as someone who’s lost three dear hearts to the night (I also live in the country), never to be seen again, you are living the dream, that they are somehow okay and want to come home. ~snif~

When I was a kid we had three cats that did the same disappearing act at different times. Two returned thin with worn pads but otherwise alright. The third returned with a broken jaw but the vet was able to fix it. He said she was either hit by a car or kicked [shudder]. She mended fine.

The second one that went missing used to like to come in exactly the same way Jazzy does! Nikki would come to my window and meow for me to take out the screen so he could come in. And that’s how he came home that night.

So glad Jazzy’s OK! I love a happy ending.

  14. Homeward bound. If two dogs show up you’re in trouble.
